The First Era of the Turbo Engines

If we take number one (Number 1) seriously, then the F-1 must be considered to be the top in motor-car race. The fastest cars, the best pilots and the most powerful engines are to be found here. That is how it was in the past, but nowadays it is not so. What was it that made the whole thing change?

Nowadays industrial facilities interested in motor-race moved racing sports into the direction of marketing and business strategy. Due to commercial-values the only aim is to increase viewership. Showmanship is being emphasized, so the rules do not seem to be aimed at the development of the racing craft.

First I would like to present the power demonstrating racing cars of the eighties, when Formula-1 was the top of motor race in all the fields. This period of the turbo engines was a competition of the horse-powers, and the top achievements came up to the required number one standard..."
